In the middle of the biggest challenge humanity ever faced, we need all hands on deck using all the tools available to us. Through the example of Clima de Eleição from Brazil, we will learn how you can also influence and impact decision making processes in your country.

Beatriz Pagy

Show bio +Beatriz Pagy is a Brazilian climate advocate, social entrepreneur and project manager. Bachelor of Laws at University of São Paulo and currently a Dual Degree Master's Student in Environmental Management at Peking University and Environment and Development at the London School of Economics. She is one of the founders of Clima de Eleição - CdE, a climate advocacy organization in Brazil with the mission to transform institutional policy, mainstreaming and internalizing the climate agenda at all levels of government. She has been involved with the climate agenda for three years, having worked with ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability and the High-Level Climate Champions Team. Currently, she is also collaborating with GAYO implementing the Youth Climate Councils around the world.

Henry Leveson-Gower

Show bio +Henry Leveson-Gower is the founder and CEO of Promoting Economic Pluralism and editor of its magazine, The Mint.  He is working to open up thinking about organising our economies in education, research and practice.  He has been a practicing pluralist economist and policy analyst for over 25 years working on environmental policy. Prior to that he worked in local economic and environmental development in Scotland. He is particularly interested in institutional design for collective action to catalyse system change based on his research at the Centre for Evaluation of Complexity Across the Nexus in 2017.  He is a Fellow of the RSA and a qualified chartered accountant.
