Event Details

The need for Inclusion in Policy Design – is a driving force to achieving equality and equity in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The catalysing potential of meaningful participation of marginalised segments such as ethnic minorities, transgender groups, differently abled youth etc is significant yet remains untapped. I believe, our youth has the potential to lead, co-design and transform their ideas into actions for a more promising tomorrow – let us take a deep dive into this world and experience change like never before!

Azima Zaidi

Show bio +Azima Zaidi is currently working as a Social Inclusion Officer at UNDP, Pakistan. She is an accomplished young activist who believes in the power of Inclusion and Youth Engagement to deliver action on the ground. She enjoys using her skills and expertise to contribute towards the empowerment of young minds that aligns with the vision of the United Nations. Azima graduated from National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad in 2019 with a Master’s degree in Peace & Conflict Studies (International Relations). 

Shelot Masithi

Show bio +Shelot Masithi is a final year student in Bachelor of Arts Criminology and Psychology, at the University of Limpopo, South Africa. Outside the classroom, she is an environmental activist and founder of She4Earth, a climate-centric school educating children and rural communities about climate change and environmental solutions. Shelot is a Social Ambassador at Thred Media, volunteer at Force of Nature, YOUNGA Youth Delegate 2021 and Algalita’s Stay Stoked Award recipient.
